TBD 2013. A beloved and much-anticipated event since 2003, the Wilmington Chocolate Festival returned in February 2012 even bigger and better as The Wilmington Wine & Chocolate Festival. The expanded festival moved to a new venue, the Coastline Event Center, 504 Nutt Street. The festival begins with a Grand Tasting on Friday night. Live entertainment, heavy hors d'oeuvres and an auction were among the highlights. The Showcase Days are Saturday and Sunday. These days present Carolina wineries, signature chocolatiers and fine artisans. The festival is produced by Volunteer Older Citizens Action League (VOCAL), a non-profit organization dedicated to serving seniors and supporting senior services.
