April 11 - 15, 2018  No matter the weather, spring doesn't begin in Wilmington until the North Carolina Azalea Festival celebrates this blooming, native American shrub. The annual Wednesday to Sunday event attracts over 300,000 visitors from across the state and country. Entertainment includes a grand downtown parade; a lively street fair, lined with delicious foods and crafty vendors; scores of musical and theatrical performances by local and national talent; celebrity guests; historic home and garden tours; and a wonderland of flowering azaleas. The 2018 concert line-up has been announced. This year’s headliners are Ludacris and Billy Currington, supported by Drake White and Kenton Bryant. All acts will perform at the Main Stage Festival Site - the lot adjacent to Cape Fear Community College Schwartz Center.  Tickets are $45, with a $10 increase day of show. Contact the North Carolina Azalea Festival Office to purchase concert tickets. Historic home tours are conducted on Saturday and Sunday, through Historic Wilmington Foundation.
