Wilmington, NC
December 26 - January 1, 2022 The Kwanzaa Celebration is a seven-day celebration of African-American roots, culture, and tradition; it is held from the day after Christmas through January 1. A variety of events are featured throughout the week of Kwanzaa, culminating in a Kwanzaa Karamu that includes theatrical performances, crafts for children and a community feast. Foremost during the week is the daily lighting of a candle to symbolize one of the seven principles. Watch the newspapers for details.
