Wilmington, NC 28402
January 18, 2021 Martin Luther King Jr. Day has special resonance to Wilmingtonians because (among other reasons) Dr. King was scheduled to travel to Wilmington for a speaking engagement on the day he was assassinated. Wilmington honors his memory on the third Monday of January with a commemorative parade at Brunswick St., 3rd St. and 4th St., beginning at 11 AM. Additional programs are held throughout the day with food, entertainment, a gospel concert and speeches. Please visit the website for additional information: http://www.mlkjrcelebration-senc10.com.
