Free visitor information is available at the main Visitor Information Center and the Riverfront Booth, as well as at seasonal visitor centers in Carolina Beach and Wrightsville Beach.

The main Visitor Information Center (open year-round) is located in an restored 1883 railroad freight warehouse at 505 Nutt Street, Unit A, just a few doors down from the Wilmington Railroad Museum. The main Visitor Information Center is open Monday through Friday 8:30 AM to 5 PM, Saturday 9 AM to 4 PM and Sunday 1 to 4 PM. It's only closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas Day.
