This well-established chorale has been a presence in Wilmington since 1950. Attracting singers from Wilmingtom, Leland, Holden Beach, Supply, Carolina Beach, Hampstead, Topsail, and Wallace, NC, membership has grown to 108 voices in the past few years. Members represent a cross-section of ages, professions, and interests.. The chorus prides itself on high-performance standards of classic choral selections and a wide variety of contemporary music. With two concerts annually, music lovers have opportunities in the Spring and Holiday season to enjoy choral performances locally. The Wilmington Choral Society has adopted Mother Hubbard's Cupboard and asks concert attendees to bring food items to the concerts for delivery to their food bank. Members also raise funds for the Annual Ralph Robins Music Scholarship Award. The organization is open to all interested singers, though currently has a waiting list. Dues are $50 per season. Pre-Registration is held in July for Fall Season and November for Spring Season. Please visite the website or email for details.
