Elderhaus offers adult day care and the PACE program for residents of New Hanover and northern Brunswick counties. Elderhaus provides professional, compassionate care and supervision in a nurturing environment and a variety of recreational and socialization opportunities. In addition, field trips, community projects and special events keep participants stimulated and active. Elderhaus' new program, PACE, is a national model of care, designed to provide families with a community-based alternative to nursing home care. Elderhaus was the first site for PACE in North Carolina. PACE combines day care and medical care and is funded through Medicare and Medicaid.
