Started in 1971, Wilmington Health is Wilmington's first multi-specialty physician's practice and has always been committed to providing the best possible healthcare in the most affordable way. This value-based approach is at the root of its popularity, and it has now expanded to offer full services in a number of medical specialties including cardiology, dermatology, diabetes education, endocrinology, gastroenterology, hearing aid services, infectious diseases, neurology, occupational health, podiatry, pulmonary/allergy, special needs/transitional medicine, spinal intervention and weight management. Primary care services include family medicine, internal medicine and pediatrics.
Surgical services include vascular surgery, general surgery, colorectal surgery, ear, nose and throat, obstetrics and gynecologic services, orthopaedic surgery, plastic/reconstructive surgery, podiatry as well as urologic and robotic surgery. Many of the physicians still provide care for their patients in the hospital settings at both New Hanover Regional Medical Center and Cape Fear Hospital. Wilmington Health offers its own specialized team of hospitalist physicians dedicated to care for patients requiring hospitalization.
Wilmington Health provides several easily accessible outpatient facilities covering services such as sleep medicine, physical therapy, a travel clinic, spinal intervention, neurodiagnostic testing, radiology and MRI services. Wilmington Health welcomes walk-ins at their primary care locations including their Main Campus (1202 Medical Center Drive), both Convenient Care locations (Porter's Neck and Brunswick Forest), both Urgent Care locations (Monkey Junction and Jacksonville) and at both Pediatric locations (Silver Stream off Medical Center Drive and North Chase). You can be seen on your schedule at the Convenient Care locations between noon and 8 PM. weekdays and 8 AM to 8 PM on weekends and at the Urgent Care locations 8 AM to 8 PM daily.
