The University of North Carolina at Wilmington's Watson College of Education invites kids to become part of MarineQuest, a unique marine and environmental education program. MarineQuest encompasses a wide variety of marine and environmental education programs for ages 5 through 17. They have a total of 30 programs that explore everything from exploring marine habitats to animal classification to careers in marine science. Camps include field trips, hands-on activities, water sports, lab experiments and more.

UNCW also offers a Summer FUNdamentals program for young people, pre-K through high school, which allows them to explore careers in art, design, engineering, forensics, history, literacy and marine science.
