A Wilmington fixture for more than 34 years, The German Cafe serves traditional strudels, ruebens and bratwurst. The lunch menu (11 Am to 2 PM) includes sandwiches and salads as well as schnitzel. For evening (5 PM to 8 PM) start with potato pancakes and end with their famous desserts and coffee. They also carry a large selection of imported beer and wine. The German Cafe is closed Monday evenings and all day Sunday. Call ahead for reservations for groups of six or more.
