Children from New Hanover and surrounding counties who have physical and/or other developmental delays can be referred by a parent, physician or community agency to Easter Seals UCP Program. The Developmental Center is open 7:30am  to 5:30pm year round.  Children from six weeks to preK  who have cerebral palsy, motor delays or other developmental concerns may attend part time or full time. Children developing typically are also accepted. Services may include early childhood intervention, childcare, preschool or afterschool programs.  Snacks and lunch are available. The center fosters a sense of family and community in a mainstreaming environment, and holds several festivals and family events throughout the year.  The ratio of staff to children allows for individual attention, and the additional requirements for developmental programming are higher than the state five star rating
