Located on a large campus close to town, Wilmington Christian Academy serves students in high school, middle school, elementary grades, kindergarten and preschool and has grown to be the largest private school in southeastern North Carolina. Students receive a well-rounded educational experience, including accelerated academics, advanced technology, competitive athletics and a comprehensive fine arts program as well as a full range of private lessons. Relevant spiritual instruction, community service opportunities, and a special education program set WCA apart from other private schools. Smart-board and iPad technology enhance classroom instruction, and parents have 24-hour web access to current grades and assignments. Wilmington Christian is fully accredited and offers this exceptional program at very affordable tuition rates with multiple-child discounts.

The elementary curriculum strongly emphasizes the basic skills of reading and math augmented with studies in Bible, English, spelling, science, history, handwriting and health. Students learn to read early through phonics-based reading instruction while hands-on learning projects and practice drills enhance math instruction at all grade levels. Art, music, physical education, foreign language, library skills and subject-integrated computer application training are all part of the standard weekly curriculum. Programs are available for gifted and talented children.

Middle school students enjoy a program that stresses academic success, individual responsibility, character-building and appropriate preparation for high school. Group competitions build a sense of unity, excitement, and teamwork throughout the year. High school students choose from honors, college preparatory or general programs. Many college-credit, Advanced Placement, and honors courses are available. Various clubs and student organizations such as student council and honor society encourage student participation, leadership development, and community service. Students benefit from personal guidance services, and graduates gain acceptance into major Christian, public and private universities across the United States. Students score exceptionally well on national achievement tests and college entrance exams. 95+ percent of WCA graduates go on to post-secondary programs. The fine arts program offers students formal group training in art, drama, persuasive speech, choral and instrumental music and journalism (newspaper, yearbook, broadcast journalism). Private instrumental, string and vocal lessons are also available. The Academy's sports program includes intramural elementary leagues, middle school, junior varsity and varsity team sports in soccer, basketball, baseball, golf, cross country, volleyball, tennis, and cheerleading. WCA teams successfully compete with Christian, public and private schools. The campus has excellent facilities including computer and science labs, a media center, a gymnasium, a full-service cafeteria and several athletic fields and playgrounds.
