With more than 200 teams and 2,500 players participating in several divisions, Cape Fear Soccer Club (CFSC) is the leading soccer organization in southeastern North Carolina and the fourth largest in the state. CFSC provides soccer players (men, women, boys and girls) with the opportunity to play soccer at their own level of competition. Emphasis is placed on the development of soccer skills, participation, sportsmanship and enjoyment of the game.
Youngsters ages 4 to 8 play in gender specific divisions with the emphasis on enjoyment and development, while scores and standings are kept for teams 10 years and older. Boys and girls play on Co-ed teams from U4 through U6. Teams are formed based on geographic neighborhoods and school districts for the Recreational level and then tryouts are available for more compeitive Challenge and Classic level of play. The Challenge and Classic leagues are comprised of teams from throughout North Carolina's southeastern counties. The Wilmington-based teams train with professional coaches two to three times a week in a structured environment on some fo the best soccer fields in the state.
An adult League on Sundays and a 7v7 league in the evenings is also offered for players over 18 years of age. Contact the office or check the website for more information on program offerings.
