With ten teams and more than 170 players in two divisions, the Wilmington Senior Softball Association offers seniors a great place to play ball! Men aged 55 to 70 play in either the Atlantic or Coastal Division teams. Conditioning is in February and March, just before the player draft. Spring training begins in March and the season of seven-inning games runs from April to October with the exception of the month of July when they take a three week break. Registration for the 60-game season is $75. If you aren't inclined to play but want to see some great softball, come on out and watch. These guys are champions, literally. Teams have won a gold medal in the North Carolina State Senior Games for several years.
