St. Marks Episcopal Church
(910) 763-3858
600 Grace St.
Wilmington, NC 28401
Established in 1869, this was the first African American Episcopal Church in eastern North Carolina, and services have been conducted since then. The building, completed in 1875, is a pastoral Gothic Revival structure with a buttressed nave and an octagonal bell tower, designed by well-known Boston Architectural Firm Emerson & Fehmer. All visitors are welcome to attend worship services on Sunday. Call the church for service times.
