The Good Shepherd Center is the largest provider for homeless services in the tri-county region and needs volunteers to work in many different capacities. The day and night shelters are in need of volunteers to work at the front desk greeting guests, answering the phone, and sorting miscellaneous donated items. Every evening, volunteers are needed to assist with checking in guests for the night shelter. Volunteers are also needed to assist with food pick up and delivery for the Second Helpings program, a food salvation and redistribution program. Also, anyone can join Good Shepherd's Green Team to assist with recyclables or simply just sign up to be an on-call volunteer. People can stop by between 8 am to 5 pm to donate food and clothing.
