September 2020 Event has been cancelled 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. Cape Fear River Watch and the City of Wilmington Parks and Rec present LakeFest (now in the fall instead of the spring). The annual event celebrates the history, plants, animals, and water quality of Greenfield Lake, and features Water Quality Testing, Obstacle Course, Family Fun Booths, Casting Clinics, Waterfowl Identification, Face Painting, Paddle Boats, Kayak Lessons, and Canoe and Kayak Rental.
