Thalian Hall Center for the Performing Arts
310 Chestnut St.
Wilmington, NC

(910) 343-3660

Built in 1858, this majestic performance center has gone through several restorations. A tenth renovation was begun in October of 2009 and offers three performance spaces. Housed within are a 675-seat main theater, the 225-seat Wilmington City Council Chamber and a 100-seat studio theater. With a lively local performing arts community and the addition of touring artists and companies, at least one of the spaces is in use each evening or afternoon. More than 35 area arts and civic organizations use the facility, and more than 450 performances and screenings in music, theater, dance and film are presented each year. (See our Attractions section for more information on this facility.) The box office number is (910) 343-3664.
