Composed of professional and amateur visual artists and art enthusiasts, Wilmington Art Association (WAA) holds art shows throughout the year and conducts an annual juried exhibition, the Spring Juried Art Show and Sale, held during the Azalea Festival activities in April. Their gallery is located inside the Historic USO Building which features displays of WWII memorabilia. Meantime, exhibitions are being held in various locations around the area. WAA also holds meetings on topics of interest and sponsors frequent workshops, critiques, educational programs and special projects.
