A welcoming, home-like setting and heaping measures of old-fashioned tender loving care combine to make Adult Day Services a unique place. The dedicated staff have created a relaxed environment for their clients, many of whom suffer from memory disorders. Caregivers and volunteers provide stimulation by encouraging conversation, socialization and physical activity. Therapies include art, dance, music, pets, reminiscence, puppetry, horticulture, field trips and other appropriate forms of recreation. "Our family caring for your family" is their motto, and they live up to it. The center has convenient, flexible hours and a philosophy of going the extra mile for their clients. Family Focus Groups meet regularly to give family members and caregivers an opportunity to discuss therapies, treatments and home care. All work together to ensure that older adults can receive the assistance they need with activities of daily living and still retain positive feelings of dignity and self worth.
