One trip to Taste the Olive, and you'll be a fan forever. Owners Kymberlei and Scott DiNapoli combined their love of good food and travel to bring to Wilmington the best olive oils and balsamic vinegars made in the world. Best of all, you can taste before you buy. They offer an extensive array of aged, white and flavor-infused balsamic vinegars imported from Modena, Italy. Their freshly pressed ultra premium olive oils come from producers in the northern and southern hemispheres.
Their more than fifty oils and vinegars are presented in small stainless steel fustis which allow tasting of each item; just think of it as a tasting bar for oil and vinegar! Try Very Vanilla Bean balsamic or Tuscan Herb olive oil, or Buzzing Honey Ginger white balsamic. Try them all.
This gourmet specialty shop also carries artisan cheese, boutique wines, seasonings, body care products made from olive oil and gift items. They also host a wine tasting every Friday from 6 to 8 PM. Check their web site for recipes and other events.
