Hanover Stables is a full-care, all breed boarding and training facility. They focus on natural horsemanship and offers professional instruction in Western and English (hunt seat). They offer riding lessons, training, boarding, leasing, trail riding and personal equine care. Located on 17 acres with nine segregated pastures, two lighted outdoor arenas and numerous trails, Hanover Stables provides boarding for up to 40 horses at one time and has a full-time, on-site manager. Owned by the Thigpen family since 1992, Hanover Stables holds camps, horse shows, clinics and trail rides on a regular basis. Private lessons are $45 per hour and they offer a generous discount to college students.

Their show team is exceptional and travels to many area shows. Believing that horsemanship teaches youngsters responsibility and respect for both animals and the environment, the owners and stable personnel strive to set good examples. Hanover Stables is an approved North Carolina Equine Rescue League site.
