Love people and history? Opportunities are many in the circle of volunteers at Bellamy Mansion Museum of History and Design Arts. Designated a stewardship property of Preservation North Carolina, Bellamy Mansion programs educate locals, school groups and tourists about Wilmington's African-American, Civil War and local history through the lives of the women, men and children who lived and worked there.
Guided training programs prepare volunteers, at their own pace, to serve at the reception desk, host events and lead tours. Flexible schedules are available. Ongoing enrichment activities and social events offer increased knowledge about programs and other volunteers. Volunteers receive discounts in the gift shop and at the annual Holiday Sale, as well as the perk of meeting new people, sharing a love of history and supporting the mission of Bellamy Mansion.
