The nonprofit group WDI advocates and implements economic growth and development in historic downtown Wilmington. WDI's directive is to facilitate and coordinate activities that enhance the economic opportunity of life for people who live, work, play and visit in Wilmington's historic river area. They host a summer-long Downtown Sundown Concert Series held on Friday nights at Riverfront Park free of charge. WDI also provides a mobile application to help residents and visitors alike navigate and stay in touch with all that is happening in downtown.
