Riverwalk fronts the many businesses that dot the historic downtown on the Cape Fear. The wide boardwalk begins at Nun Street in Chandler's Wharf and runs continuously along the water to the convention center. It's more than a mile of pleasant strolling in a safely lighted path. Completed over several years, the Riverwalk is a Wilmington gem. Along the Riverwalk at the foot of Market Street, you'll find a visitor's information center and berthing for the sternwheeler Heniretta III. The city farmer's market takes place here each Saturday morning, and the site is often center stage for local festivals. Historic sailing ships visiting town often dock at here and usually offer tours.
